Sven is a PhD Student in Political Economy at the Department of Political Economy at King’s College London. He has an interdisciplinary background in economics, political science, and philosophy with degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the University of Mannheim. Previously, he also studied and worked at Harvard University, Duke University, St. Petersburg State University, and National Taiwan University. At King’s College London, Sven teaches courses on political and economic philosophy, environmental economics, meta-ethics, and contemporary issues in applied ethics. He introduced a novel approach to Smart Cities by introducing a holistic Smart City Framework based on Aristotelian First Principles. He is an expert on the economics of urbanization, decentralization and city planning, as well on the intersection between innovation & technology.
